| cindy | 10 | 7 | Yes | Fantastic game of double-guessing and luck. Great components, plays fast and lots of laughs and groans. One of the most successful family games. |
| 122norfolk | 9 | 7 | Yes | Great game for children to play with adults. Simple rules combined with econd guessing other's intensions creates the right amount of tension for a truly fun experience. |
| Ed the Red | 9 | | | A game which the children often want to play. The 5 year old likes it but doesn't really get the strategy properly (tends to want to play foxes on all occasions, and doesn't worry about how much corn there is in his target area); the 7 year old is much cannier and generally does quite well. Having said that, a certain level of randomness is not a handicap (especially as you haven't always got the cards to do what you'd like to), so even younger children can play and enjoy it.
Can easily be shortened by simply stopping at any point rather than using all the cubes.
Quite fun for adults too, and all can compete on reasonably even terms. |

| gamesgrandpa | 9 | 4 | Yes | Our grandkids enjoyed learning this at ages 4 and 6, and 5 years later we are all still enjoying it. We showed the kids how to group their cubes into sets of 5 for easy counting of the scores, and they were quickly counting by 5's and 10's, before being exposed to arithmetic in school. They also quickly caught on to playing foxes where there is lots of feed, hoping to catch one or more birds. Our scores were usually very close. We play it occasionally these days with 8 players, 6 adults and 2 children. |
| laraberrycross | 9 | 4 | Yes | Very easy to learn, young kids can even play random cards and still have a (small) chance at winning. |
| mcross | 9 | 6 | Yes | Easy, quick and always good for a laugh. |
| Merkle | 9 | 5 | Yes | Fun, easy game. It went over very well with my family early on--esp because my younger child could play it easily. Adults can get into this as well! |
| sevorges | 9 | | | Nice luck based games that suckers people, like me, into thinking that they can maneuvre themselves for victory. Theme and artwork are nice and rules simple for the very young(5+) to play. The beauty of this game is unpredictability is an asset and therefore a child with little clue what they are doing can be very effective in their randomness. Highly recommended |
| The Unbeliever | 9 | 5 | Yes | A great outguess your opponents game, where you have to choose your battles wisely. |
| davebo | 8 | | | Fun game. Kids like it. Good for 7 and up, I would say. |
| jeremycobert | 8 | | | Fun game for kids. Godd for basic math concepts also. The kids love the fun pictures of the birds. It is a good little game that easy to pick up for kids and goes pretty quick. One game they ask to play over and over. |
| Munin | 8 | 4 | Yes | We play this often with our 5 year old son. He's been playing it since he was 4. Usually, its a 3 player game, and with 3, each player chooses two cards from their hand to play each round that must not be the same color. He often seems to play randomly, but within the framework of this cute little game, that does not preclude adults from having fun at all. I highly recommend this one for gaming parents to play with young children. |
| Norwood | 8 | 7 | Some | An fun, quick game that relies a lot on luck and guessing. Just a word of warning, though - understanding the different values of the colored corn and how to use the foxes is a little too complicated for some of the minimum ages that others here have listed here (I couldn't imagine a 4 or 5 year old actually grasping those concepts). |
| tiggle | 8 | 6 | Yes | We got this when my daughter was 7 and still enjoy it almost 2 years later. It's luck based, of course, but fast and fun. We like it best with 3 players, where everyone gets to play 2 cards. |
| Doomfarer | 7 | 5 | Some | A bit too long for what it is. |
| shumyum | 7 | | | A little too complicated (they do not quite "get" the foxes) for my 5 year old twins, but they enjoy it nonetheless. Great illustrations. |
| shawndumas | 6 | 9 | Yes | Pre-teens and teens might enjoy. No half naked women, gore, cursing, or morbidity. |
